Russ has more than 10 years of municipal experience including 8 years of business consulting, working on a broad range of projects such as: climate adaptation and sustainability planning, resilience strategy development, community engagement, water conservation planning, stormwater quality program implementation and hazard mitigation planning. He has worked regionally with the Institute for Sustainable Communities (ISC), nationally on 100 Resilient Cities (100RC) initiatives and internationally on projects for the International City/County Management Association (ICMA).
Building on his Bachelors of Science degree in Environmental Science, Russ has spent his career developing sustainability programs, policy and planning efforts. He has led cross-functional teams, facilitated workshops, created special events, spearheaded adaptation and sustainability reporting, developed scenario planning initiatives, enhanced regulatory compliance and created engaging community outreach materials. At Brendle Group, Russ primarily manages and supports climate and water-related initiatives.
