Senior Engineer
As Brendle Group’s senior engineer, Julie puts her 15 years of energy engineering experience to work for our clients in a variety of ways. She leads up our energy and water efficiency projects and is responsible for efficiency surveys and assessments, engineering calculations, building and system simulations, utility data analysis, cost estimating, bid analysis and project implementation. Julie’s specific expertise is informed by hands-on experience facilitating and designing integrated green building guidelines, operational and systematic sustainability strategies, and strategies of building commissioning. Julie’s range of skills enables her to help a small business customer identify and implement specific energy-saving measures or to help a large organization evaluate its current practices and develop a comprehensive and systematic plan for improvements that can be tracked and measured to ensure results.
With a BS in Mechanical Engineering from Colorado State University, supplemented by LEED accreditation and certification, building commissioning expertise, as many as 100 assessments to her credit.
Julie is Brendle Group’s engiNERD extraordinaire, whose best day begins reducing VMTs (vehicle miles traveled) on her bike to work and ends with satisfied customers and hopeful news of the Chicago Cubs.
