Support for Ski Industry Sustainability Projects
Brendle Group continues its dedication to support and expand the sustainability projects at National Ski Areas Association's member ski areas through the Sustainable Slopes Grant Program. Winners of this year's HKD snowmaking grants will receive additional sustainability services from Brendle Group including a utility analysis and customized on-site energy audit. Brendle Group’s support will help extend cost savings from the new snowmaking equipment to other identified energy efficiency and peak load management opportunities. Brendle Group's Senior Engineer Talks Smart Grid
Brendle Group has focused on demand side management and project development for the DOE-funded Renewable and Distributed Systems Integration (RDSI) demonstration project in the City of Fort Collins. Our senior engineer, Steve Brunner, was interviewed by Smart Grid News about the completion
of the “jump start” project for Fort ZED.
The New York Times Features Fort Collins City Plan
As part of a consultant team, Brendle Group provided support for integrating sustainability into an update of the Fort Collins City Plan, the guiding document for growth and development in the City. The scope of work included research on trends and peer cities, compilation of existing policies and practices related to sustainability, and support for a “symposium of ideas” to collect input from key stakeholders and the community. Green Design Award for Brendle Group Building
Twelve projects were honored this year by the city of Fort
Collins 2011 Urban Design Awards. The city created these awards to
promote awareness of the importance of urban design, and its role in
maintaining and enhancing the quality of life in our community. Brendle
Group and architect, Greg D. Fisher, accepted the Green Design Award on
October 13th, 2011.
Brendle Group's Work with Jackson Hole Featured on ESPN
Brendle Group is currently conducting a Greenhouse Gas Inventory and Sustainability Management Plan for Jackson Hole Mountain Resort. This will give them the leading edge as the only resort to have registered with ISO 14001, completed a GHG inventory, and put a Sustainability Management Plan in place to identify further reductions. City of Boulder Taking Innovative Steps Towards Sustainability
City of Boulder implemented energy efficiency measures and renewable energy technologies to significantly reduce carbon emissions and costs. They did so after an energy and sustainability analysis was completed by Brendle Group, who showed that the Cityʼs sustainability goals could not be reached with just energy efficiencies.
