Communication Specialist

As a communication specialist for The Brendle Group for the past 7 years, Susan is involved in providing our customers quality products related to their respective projects, such as sustainability management planning documents, annual reports, assessment reports, outreach programs, and presentations that showcase customer successes. She also supports our staff and partners through proposal and grant writing, marketing, and community education and acknowledgement pieces.

Susan's skills are grounded in 15 years of experience in the environmental arena. During this time, she has considered the environment and sustainability from a variety of perspectives - private, public, commercial, and non-profit - giving her a unique perspective that is beneficial to each individual client. Susan launched her career with an MA in Technical Communications earned with honors from New Mexico State University and a BA also earned with honors from Texas Tech University.

Susan's mantra is to live what you preach and be flexible, which fits perfectly with The Brendle Group's goal of modeling and encouraging high sustainability standards while meeting customers where they are in the process. It's all about balance.

And to maintain some personal balance, Susan spends time with her family, walks the dog, reads good books, and engages a changing world with optimism...most of the time.
