Brendle Group partnered with the Northern Colorado Water Conservancy District and participants from Northern Colorado water providers to develop resources and tools for industrial, commercial and institutional (ICI) water conservation with funding from the United States Bureau of Reclamation.  The resources are targeted at water users and water providers to achieve conservation in these often overlooked sectors. They also provide access to information and tools that will make the water conservation process, from assessment through implementation, more accessible to all water users.  These resources were combined with previous ICI water use benchmarking results under a single web-based resource that is now hosted by the Colorado Water Wise Council.

The project also included development of a briefing paper outlining the relationship between water use, embodied energy in water, and greenhouse gas emissions.  Brendle Group is helping water providers and users increasingly understand the links to energy and climate issues so that decision can be made through a more strategic lens of sustainability.
