Brendle Group Appoints Northern Colorado Resident Andrea Sojda as President Following National Executive Search

Fort Collins, CO — January 13, 2026 — Brendle Group, a mission-driven sustainability consulting firm, announced the appointment of Andrea Sojda as president following a nationwide executive search. Sojda succeeds company founder Judy Dorsey, who will transition to chair of the Board of Directors.

Founded in 1996, Brendle Group has grown from a one-woman startup in the nascent sustainability field into a nationwide, interdisciplinary team at the forefront of climate solutions. By integrating technical expertise with human-centered solutions, the firm supports a diverse client base that includes utilities such as Xcel Energy, local governments including the City and County of Denver, nonprofits like the National Ski Areas Association, and large industrial businesses. This planned leadership transition reflects the company’s continued evolution and long-term growth strategy.

After evaluating candidates from across the country, Brendle Group selected Andrea Sojda, a Northern Colorado resident, underscoring the firm’s commitment to both national impact and deep local roots.

“After 30 years building Brendle Group, I’m thrilled to hand the reins over to the next generation of leadership,” said Brendle Group founder Judy Dorsey. “Andrea is a proven leader who understands our mission and culture. She brings the experience, leadership, and vision needed to guide Brendle Group into its next chapter. I’m incredibly proud of what our team has built, and I look forward to continuing to support the company in my role as board chair.”

Sojda brings 20 years of experience in consulting for public- and private-sector clients and has served as principal for energy and sustainability at Salas O’Brien for the past five years. She has led interdisciplinary teams of engineers and technical experts addressing some of the nation’s most pressing sustainability challenges.

“I’m honored to step into this role and build on the strong foundation Judy created,” said Sojda. “Brendle Group has a talented team, a clear strategy, and significant opportunities ahead. I look forward to working closely with our team, partners, and clients to accelerate equitable solutions to the climate crisis.”

To support a smooth transition, Dorsey will remain on staff in a limited capacity through June 2026.
