Brendle Group Marks 30 Years with Public Art Exhibit Exploring Sustainability and Community
Fort Collins, CO — July 7, 2026 — Sustainability consulting firm Brendle Group is celebrating its 30th anniversary by giving back to the community through a public art exhibit, The Art of Impact, opening July 22 at the Fort Collins Center for Creativity.
Designed as a gift to the community during Brendle Group’s 30th anniversary year, the exhibit reflects the sustainability impact the firm has built alongside clients, partners, and communities over the past three decades while looking ahead to the next generation of environmental and social progress. The milestone also coincides with a leadership transition as founder Judy Dorsey passes the role of president to longtime sustainability leader Andrea Sojda, marking a new chapter for the firm.
Curated by Fort Collins artist Kirsten Savage, the exhibit will feature contemporary works by regional artists exploring themes of environmental sustainability, social equity, community, resilience, innovation, and our collective future. Through painting, sculpture, collage, upcycled denim, visible mending, artwork utilizing reclaimed materials diverted from the waste stream, and ceramics using locally sourced slip from Horsetooth Reservoir, the exhibit invites visitors to reflect on the past, engage with the present, and imagine what comes next.
At a time when communities across Colorado are grappling with issues ranging from climate resilience and growth to transportation and resource management, The Art of Impact creates space for dialogue about the environmental and social challenges facing the region, and the opportunities ahead. The exhibit highlights the role that art, innovation, and community collaboration have played in shaping Northern Colorado over the past three decades and explores how those same forces can help create a more sustainable future.
Admission to the exhibit and public reception is free and on display from July 22 through August 2, 2026, in Galleries A and B at the Fort Collins Center for Creativity, 200 Mathews Street. The gallery is open to the public Wednesday through Sunday from 12 p.m. to 6 p.m. A public reception and artist meet-and-greet will be held on Friday, July 24, from 3:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. with a short reading by environmental and nature poet, Kathleen Willard.
“For 30 years, Brendle Group has worked alongside communities, organizations, and businesses to create positive change,” said Judy Dorsey, founder of Brendle Group. “We spend a lot of time talking about sustainability through data, plans, and technical solutions. Art reaches people in a different way. It invites curiosity, emotion, and conversation, which are all essential if we’re going to create meaningful change.”
The exhibit’s theme encourages artists and visitors alike to explore the interconnected relationships between people, communities, and the environment.
“Art creates space for reflection, connection, and deeper understanding,” said curator Kirsten Savage. “This exhibit brings together artists whose work explores both the challenges and possibilities of our time. I hope visitors leave feeling inspired by what we’ve accomplished together and encouraged by the role each of us can play in creating a more thoughtful and sustainable future.”
Artwork will be available for purchase throughout the exhibit, with 100 percent of sales proceeds going directly to participating artists.
